Crossref, DOIs and Crossmark
Fight Medicine is a member of Crossref through its publisher, Sears, LLC, trading as Sears Publishing Company, and registers its content under the Crossref DOI prefix 10.67999.
Digital Object Identifiers
Every article, editorial, review, case report and policy analysis published in the journal, and every issue, is assigned a Digital Object Identifier (DOI) at acceptance and registered with Crossref on publication. The DOI is a permanent, resolvable link to the version of record. It appears on the article page and in the recommended citation, and it should be used when citing the work. Registered metadata include the title, authors and their ORCID identifiers, affiliations, abstract, publication date, licence and the reference list, which allows the article to be found and cited through Crossref's services and the databases that draw on them.
Reference linking and Similarity Check
The journal deposits the reference list of each article with Crossref so that citations link to the cited works and the article is counted in their citation records. Submissions are screened for text similarity before review.
Crossmark
Crossmark is a Crossref service that gives readers a direct way to confirm that the version of an article they are reading is current and authoritative. By applying the Crossmark button to its articles, Fight Medicine commits to maintaining the published record and to informing readers of any change to it. Clicking the button shows whether the article is current and links to any erratum, corrigendum, addendum, expression of concern or retraction, each of which carries its own DOI and is registered with Crossref. Corrections, versions and retractions are handled as set out on the Crossmark Policy Page.
Reporting a problem
Readers who believe an article contains an error, or who cannot resolve a DOI, may write to [email protected].
